Azueira is a small, personally run collection of homes in the Algarve, and we take the same care with your information as we do with your stay. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have — in plain language, without the usual legal jargon.
When you enquire with us, we collect what you share directly — your name, email address, travel dates, party size, the property you're interested in, and any message you include.
If you reach us on WhatsApp, we also receive the details that platform shares with us, such as your phone number.
We use this information simply to look after your enquiry and your stay:
We rely on this to fulfil our agreement with you, to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and, where appropriate, our legitimate interest in running Azueira thoughtfully. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your information is held securely through our website provider and kept only for as long as it's genuinely useful — to answer your enquiry and, if you book with us, to arrange your stay and meet our legal obligations. After that, it's removed.
We use only the cookies and similar technologies needed to run this website, plus optional cookies if you choose to allow them. When you first visit, we ask for your choice, and we remember it in your browser so we don't ask again.
If you accept optional cookies, we use Google Ads tracking to understand how visitors find Azueira and whether an enquiry follows one of our adverts. Google may set cookies such as _gcl_aw and _gcl_au and receive limited technical information, such as your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you view. Google may process this information outside the European Economic Area. Until you accept, no Google advertising tracking is loaded. We do not currently use Google Analytics.
Our legal basis for optional cookies is your consent. You can change or withdraw it at any time using Cookie Settings in the footer of any page. Rejecting optional cookies does not affect browsing the site, sending an enquiry or contacting us on WhatsApp. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
Embedded video. The Casa da Rocha video on our homepage is a YouTube video. It is not loaded when you open the page: only a preview image is shown, and the YouTube player is loaded only if you press play. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed address (youtube-nocookie.com), but once the player loads, YouTube and Google may receive your IP address and device and browser information, may set cookies or similar technologies, and may process data outside the European Economic Area, under their own privacy policy. This is separate from the optional-cookie choice above, which does not control the video player. If you prefer not to load it, simply do not press play.
We only share your details with trusted partners when arranging something on your behalf — a private chef, a transfer, a boat charter — and never for their own marketing.
You're welcome to ask us, at any time, to access, correct, delete or restrict how we use your information, or to object to certain uses. Simply write to us at info@azueira.com and we'll respond personally.
